Public Yoga Classes
Public yoga classes are BACK at Bending Bridges!! All classes are offered in a climate controlled room (with a HEATED FLOOR!). The space is cozy and intimate. Spots are limited so there is plenty of individual attention if needed. Melissa’s extensive knowledge of anatomy and injury recovery and prevention inform her teaching. All classes are offered with the Kripalu focus of attention to breath, mind, and body. Melissa has been teaching yoga that improves form and function since 2010. All classes are alternative and “seasoned” body friendly. All mats and props are provided. All you need to bring is a willingness to explore your practice! Check out the options below.
As space is limited, please pre-register for your yoga experiences at Bending Bridges. If you need to cancel, please give at least 48 hours notice to enable someone else the opportunity to have the spot.
Gentle Kripalu Yoga is offered on most Friday mornings at 9am. This is safe and dynamic practice which will offer opportunities to strengthen, stabilize, stretch, and balance. Each class is adapted to the individual needs of the students present that day, and no class is ever the same! Bring your desire to feel better and a healthy sense of wonder and humor. Pre-registration is strongly suggested to reserve your spot.
Candlelight Slow Flow and Restorative Yoga is offered twice monthly at 6:30pm (on a Friday and Sunday). This practice is the ultimate “letting go” practice and is perfect for getting a reset from the chronic stresses of your life. The practice is offered in a comfortably warm room with the bolsters and blankets to support and hold you in your restorative postures. Various guided meditations are offered along with some loosely structured movement offerings and space for improvisational movement and/or stillness. Pre-registration is required.
